Sun tanning
Harrison Hot Springs, the jewel of the Fraser Valley is nestled amongst the Coastal Mountains on the southern shore of the 65 km long Harrison Lake
offers a variety of places to enjoy the Sun. The Lagoon
beach has a clean sandy beach ideal for sunbathing, and the lagoon provides a protected warm-water spot for swimming. At the west end of the lagoon is a small play area for kids complete with monkey bars, slides and a small play tugboat. Restrooms and an outdoor shower help make your sun tanning experience more enjoyable.
A short hike from the hot springs source you will find Sandy Cove, a wonderful secluded little beach with beautiful views. Keep in mind flip flops won’t get you there, proper foot gear is needed.
For remote sun tanning take a walk around Hicks Lake in Sasquatch Provincial Park where you will find the isolated Sandy Beach at Hick's south end. Private and remote it is well worth the journey. Two small islands also lie offshore in Hicks Lake and make for easygoing exploring and tanning. Commercial canoe rentals are available at Hicks Lake.
Picnic & BBQ
Take the kids on an excursion for an enjoyable picnic lunch in Spring Park. Located one block away from the lake this park offers swings, slides, teeter–totters and tennis courts. For an unforgettable BBQ experience both
Rendall Park and Green Point (located in Sasquatch Provincial Park) are situated right on the lake and offer picnic tables, swimming and stunning views.
Tennis
The public courts are located in Spring Park beside the Miami River and in Agassiz at the fairgrounds.
Children’s Playgrounds
At the west end of the lagoon is a small play area for kids complete with monkey bars, slides
and a small play tugboat. Restrooms are available.
Spring Park located one block south of the beach is a great place for kids to play while parents take a break
and soak in the views of Mount Cheam. Slides, swings, and teeter-totters make this a great park for releasing some energy.
There is also a children’s playground located at the Lakeside campground in Sasquatch Provincial Park. On summer
evenings, natural history talks are presented at the amphitheatres. The park has a large day-use/picnic area at
Green Point, which offers swimming and sunbathing opportunities.
